My therapeutic passion is:
"Working collaboratively to find meaningful solutions in line with personal values and goals."
“And here you are living, despite it all.” -Rupi Kaur
While there are so many things in life that have the potential to bring us joy, often we can find ourselves being stuck in the challenges and struggles of daily life, which can keep us from enjoying our lives. If you find yourself reading this, then I want to congratulate you on taking steps towards seeking support and finding ways to better navigate the complexities of life. Even admitting we need help from others is an invaluable step towards change.
I personally view therapy as a collaborative relationship in which we work together to find meaningful solutions that align with your values and personal goals. I primarily utilize DBT and CBT approaches in my practice, which can include mindfulness training, emotional self-validation, improving distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness training, and working towards adopting a more flexible perspective of ourselves and the world around us.
I have experience working with a wide array of clients, including adolescents, families, couples, and adults with a variety of presenting struggles. I have worked with clients in acute inpatient care, residential inpatient care, and in the outpatient setting. I have experience and specialize in many areas of therapy, which includes substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, trauma, relationship conflicts, communication/conflict resolution skills, boundary setting, and LGBTQ issues.
Lindsey will be starting with Sunrise in March 2022!
